Kauk (right), 65, a member of the Dayak Embaloh tribe, selects Perpuk leaves, helped by her daughter and grandchildren, at her house in Tanjung Kerja village, North Putusibau regency, West Kalimantan. The women make mats from the leaves, which they then sell to farmers as pads for drying rice.
