Watery Meeting


West Java Governoor Ahmad Heryawan meets with flood victims in Cieunteung, in Baleendah, Bandung, about 20 kilometers from the center of Bandung city. The administration plans to allocate Rp. 80 billion (US$ 660,000) to dredge Citarum river to decrease sedimentation in a bid to avoid future floods.

Citarum was last dredged in 2006, which proved inadequate for prevent floods because of high levels of sedimentation upstream.
