This is an excellent beach for swimming and watersports. If you are adventurous, take a trip to Lake Chini which is actually a series of 12 connecting bodies of water, covered by a carpet of lotus blossoms between the months of June and September.

Rantau Abang is the main turtle beach, a spot where leatherback turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. August is the peak laying season.
