Few islands can match the natural beauty of Phuket, the “Pearl of the South” – its picturesque, sugar-white beaches presenting an irresistible invitation. The island is very hilly and often the hills drop right into the sea. Not far from the town is the Patong beach which is long, white, clean and lapped by the clear waters.
A little south is Karon which is really a triple beach; there’s the long golden sweep of Karon beach; a smaller Kata beach and Kata Noi beach. The prettiest beach, however, belongs to Nai Harn, at the southern tip.
