City Destinations – Tioman

One of 64 idyllic volcanic islands in the South China Sea, Pulau Tioman is reputably one of the world’s best loved islands. This island was, in fact, the setting for Bali hai in the film, South Pacific.

Tioman has beautiful beaches, clear water and coral for snorkeling or diving. The major attraction, however, is the sharp contrast and diversity it offers – high mountains and dense jungle are a short walk away from the coast.

There are also a number of good beaches – Genting, Paya and Tekek. It is also possible to walk across the island from Tekek to Juara.

We're off to Tioman this August. We're booked in the village Tekek.

Just wanted to say thank you for informing me about Tioman, as it was here I first heard about Tioman. I told my boyfriend and he'd actually been there when he was a teen and schooling in Singapore at the time.

Small world :)

Thank you!
